One can be assured that behind the quiet and polite demeanor of Mark Morton lies a global understanding of all that surrounds him. A true musician, Mark creates challenging riffs with harmonic depth and groove. Mark is considered the lead guitarist of Grammy nominated metal band Lamb of God and has written many of the tunes and lyrics for their four album releases. He also penned the recent Grammy nominated hit, Redneck, from the 2006 album Sacrament. Mark IVs have been used on all of their recordings and Mark has recently added a Triple Rectifier to his live rig. When he isn’t drag racing at home in between tours, Mark can be found “borrowing” tour production golf carts to “see what they can do”. Mark is incredibly humble and is hands down, the nicest dude in metal. Mark and the Lamb of God crew were recently on Ozzfest 2007 as direct support on the main stage. Be sure to check out their releases; New American Gospel (2000), As The Palaces Burn (2003), Ashes of the Wake (2004), Sacrament (2006), and DVD, Killadelphia (2005)
