To Randall Smith and the rest
of the Boogie employees,

I’m sure you get letters like this all the time, but I wanted to personally thank Randall Smith and everyone involved in the development of the Mesa/Boogie Mark V. My head arrived yesterday and I have been thoroughly enjoying playing through the amp at massive volumes (much to my family’s and neighbor’s dismay!).

I have been playing guitar for 10 years now. My first Boogie was a Single Rectifier head that I purchased when the amp I was using at the time wasn’t cutting through my band’s mix at all. The Single Rectifier took care of it no problem. I have experimented with a few other amplifier manufacturers, but missed the pure rawness and natural sound that a Mesa makes.

I’ve owned a 2-Channel Dual Rectifier, a 1981 Mark II B, and now am a very proud owner of both a Mark IV combo and a brand new Mark V head through a Rectifier 4x12. I can tell you now, that with these two amplifiers, my search for the perfect tone is complete. There’s no stopping the tonal possibilities that I have at my disposal. And it’s all thanks to you guys.
