Dan Leduc with his Mesa Boogie DC-5
Mesa Boogie Durability

Dear Mesa Engineering,

I purchased my Mesa Boogie Dual Caliber 50 head and Caliber 2x12 vertical cab back around '98 and I just wanted to say THANKS. It's a long time overdue...

I've been playing for 30 years and gig regularly with a classic rock band in the Hartford , CT area. I own several amps - Fender Hot Rod DeVille, Prosonic Combo, Deluxe Reverb RI, Blues Jr., Marshall JCM2000 TSL 60 Head + 4x12 cab and a Roland JC-55. I really like all of my amps and try my best to rotate them into my rig at some point during the year.

But one shines above the rest - the Boogie DC-5. With it's fat, full, deep sounding tone + huge amount of headroom + 2 great sounding channel (clean and overdrive) I feel incredibly comfortable, and confident when I'm gigging with this amp. It's simply the best. I've never had a single problem in the 6 years I've been using it. I continue to demo new amps from all makers when they come out - but so far, nothing tops my DC-5.

The guys in my band have affectionately come to refer to my Boogie as "#1". As in, it's my #1 amp. We're all still pretty amazed at the awesome tone found in this amp - even at rehearsal. I was sad when this line ended but glad to see the Nomads are carrying on the tradition.

Well that's it - just thought you should know how much I appreciate this amp.

Very truly yours,

Daniel M. Leduc
Enfield, CT
