Lamb Of God

Lamb Of God Guitarist Mark Morton with his Mark IV Heads and 4x12 Recto Traditional Cabs - ''It's amazingly versatile and is absolutely my favorite amp in existence"

Weighing in HEAVY on the second stage of Ozzfest 2004 is a band from Richmond, Virginia - Lamb of God. Defined by tight, blinding fast riffs, their latest producer Machine describes their playing as, ''12 rounds of boxing, with breakdowns, bursts and an overall constant pummeling". The band is touring in support of their 2003 release, ''As The Palaces Burn", which Revolver Magazine called, ''Album of the Year" and Rolling Stone praised as, ''a meticulously crafted metal assault." The band will release their Epic debut album ''Ashes of the Wake," due in stores August 31 st, 2004.

Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler both use Mesa/Boogie Mark IV's. Mark explains, ''...it's amazingly versatile and is absolutely my favorite amp in existence. I can play for 25 people in a bar with my country band or I can play for 25,000 people at Ozzfest". Mark also runs Mesa 4x12 Rectifer Traditional Straight cabs to keep the low end crisp and immediate.

Bassist John Campbell provides the battery of bottom end for Lamb Of God with his Mesa 400+ and RoadReady 8x10 Cabs - '' The sound just surrounds you and every note grinds and gives but stays clear".

Bassist John Campbell has been using the Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+ for years as well, saying, '' the sound just surrounds you and every note grinds and gives but stays clear". John just received the two of the newly designed Road Ready Tri-Port 8x10 bass cabinets and he and the band's Front of House/Tour Manager Dennis Solomon couldn't be more pleased. ''I've mixed the band for years now and the bass tones have never been as good as they are with the new 8x10's - We all couldn't be happier and the crowds don't know what's hitting em'!"

Lamb of God has three albums available, all on their web site - www.lamb-of-god.com - They also have a brand new DVD just released entitled ''Terror and Hubris". Keep your eyes peeled on this rising super band as they raise the Metal bar yet again with their latest release ''Ashes of the Wake" in late August.
