Randall Smith Returns to the ORIGINAL Mesa 'Doghouse Workshop'
A few years ago, MESA/Boogie Founder Randall Smith recently made a return trip to the place where Boogie was born. Tucked in the tree-lined hills of Lagunitas, California (30 minutes north of San Francisco) the Doghouse was a small shack on Randall's property that he converted into the original Boogie amplifier assembly workshop. The majority of the legendary Mark I amplifiers that laid the foundation for what Mesa has become today were assembled here and within Randall's humble home in the mountains of Marin. This video takes you on a tour through these humble beginnings where the Doghouse still stands today as well as some reflections from Randall, Doug West, Jim Aschow and Steve Mueller while taking this trip down memory lane.
From these humble beginnings to where we are now, the vision and commitment remains fully intact to deliver the world's most innovative, reliable and tone-full professional vacuum tube amplifiers for electric instruments. From our house to yours, we thank you for choosing Mesa as the amplifier for your musical voice.
