The Mark VII is a direct descendent of those legendary original amps and a true Magnum Opus of Tone. Randall Smith’s inventions and innovations literally changed the musical landscape and have been used by countless artists across genres, in the case of fusion, rock, and pop, inspiring artists to create entirely new ones with their iconic Boogie® and then, later, Dual Rectifier® tones. Each cabinet has highly detailed Mark VII-themed inlays on the top, all hand-inlaid by the craftspeople at the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, using mother-of-pearl and agoya shell.
